The 2025 African School Games mark the first edition of a continental sporting event dedicated to young African schoolchildren. They will be held in Algeria from July 25 to August 5, 2025, in four cities in the northeast: Constantine, Annaba, Skikda, and Sétif.

About 3500
young athletes

from 22 African countries and accompanied by nearly 1,000 supervisors, are expected for this inaugural edition. Algeria, fully mobilized for the success of the event, is ready to welcome up to 4,000 participants, by providing the necessary human and material resources.

Organised under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, these Games are placed under the aegis of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and in collaboration with the International School Sports Federation (FISS).

25 challenges

The program of these African School Games will include 25 varied disciplines, ranging from athletics to swimming, including football, judo, taekwondo, skateboarding, beach volleyball, and even 3×3 basketball.
